This website provides access to key planning documents related to the Sizewell C nuclear power station project.

Access Planning Documents

For access to Sizewell C DCO documents that were submitted up to when the DCO was granted back in July 2022, please visit the Planning Inspectorate (PINS) website. Many of the original DCO documents have been superseded by revisions and new, additional documents have been discharged by the local authorities. This portal holds copies of planning related documentation under three tabs:

Overview of the Sizewell C Development Consent Order (DCO) Document Portal

The Development Consent Order (DCO) for the Sizewell C project, located north of Sizewell B, was submitted to the Planning Inspectorate (PINS) on 27 May 2020. Following an examination process from 14 April 2021 to 14 October 2021, the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy granted the DCO on 20 July 2022.

Sizewell C is designed to generate enough low-carbon electricity to power approximately six million homes. Construction began in January 2024.
